Aptech Employment Ltd. is a growing employment agency specializing in connecting skilled professionals with top employers across multiple industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations and support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll, invoices, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Manage HST/GST, payroll remittances, and government filings
- Track client billing, contractor payments, and commission structures
- Work closely with management and external accountants as needed
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (preferably in staffing or service-based businesses)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and payroll processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong time-management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Experience with employment agencies or payroll-heavy environments
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax regulations
