Aptech Employment Ltd. is a growing employment agency specializing in connecting skilled professionals with top employers across multiple industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations and support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process payroll, invoices, and expense reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
  • Manage HST/GST, payroll remittances, and government filings
  • Track client billing, contractor payments, and commission structures
  • Work closely with management and external accountants as needed
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (preferably in staffing or service-based businesses)
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and payroll processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Strong time-management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
  • Experience with employment agencies or payroll-heavy environments
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax regulations
